About the course

This is a toolbox created to help integrate inner self, and build a stronger life foundation so one can reach beyond self, toward others. Not only becoming more balanced physically, mentally and spiritually, integration results in well-being, a sense of belonging and increased resiliency in times of trouble or doubt.  This may be applicable to those with PTSD, autism, near-death experiences, chronic or sudden critical physical illnesses, depression, drug/alcohol recovery, "dual-diagnoses" recovery and more. Coherence of self, exists in a well-connected person, who lives within their body well, has appropriate emotional responses and can maintain a social and spiritual bond with others. The theory is that this balance can be achieved through: A strong physical foundation, and knowing where you are energetically within your body; using knowledge gained through dreams and practice in re-framing past events; discovering who you want to be and your heart's desire in life; realizing that you must use your inner will to begin this journey--and you must begin to live as if you are going to live (begin to build a future now). Only you can make these choices for yourself--no one can do any of this for you. Through strengthening your body and mind, only then will you expand your self toward health and reach out toward others--and become a help to others also.

We cannot rush health--it comes in its own time. The main idea is that you will choose a practice, and practice it every day, even if it is just breathwork for only 5-10 minutes. Impatience and overuse only works against us...we are seeking balance.

About the program

Integrating the Self is a self-coaching application, and a resource for therapists who are working with clients. We do not give advice, diagnose, or recommend any course of action for the site participants. We encourage the participant in their choice of applications, and may offer individualized coaching sessions. This program is based upon both personal and professional experience of the author.  If a participant experiences an exacerbation of a mental or physical condition while participating in any of the activities, they have several options: They have the option of trying a different activity; they may stop for a time and re-start at a slower pace; they may realize it is the STORM before the NORM in their nervous system.  It is up to each individual and/or their family or therapist to determine the right course of action if the participant is having a negative reaction to activities in this course.

 

Release and Waiver for Integrating the Self

 

Integrating the Self, or “the Program”, includes mindful meditation instruction. It is offered by Convergence Research and Consulting “the Company” and its representatives. You hereby release the Company if you experience any severe emotional or other reaction from participating in this self-coaching application.

 

If you suffer from any emotional or psychological condition, you will seek advice from a medical or other therapeutic professional before beginning this course of action. You will consult with your provider if you have any severe reaction after participating in these exercises.

 

The following reactions are common and generally mild and temporary:

 

    Increased emotional sensitivity

 

    Exacerbation of physical pain

 

    Temporary altered states

 

The following are the potential strong reactions:

 

    Feelings of depression or anxiety

 

    Onset of psychotic symptoms (feelings of being stuck inside or outside of self)

 

    Onset of negative behaviors (irritability, etc.)

 

    Significant exacerbation of physical pain

 

The Program includes skills training for emotional stability, mental and physical integration and personal growth. You acknowledge that you will use sage advice of your self or others when engaging in these techniques and exercises. You are under no obligation to continue to perform these techniques, or to continue in the next module of the Program.

 

 

You agree not to sue the Company or its representatives from all liability to you and your heirs for any loss or damage, or any other claim arising out of your participation in the Program. You agree to assume full responsibility for any risk of mental or physical injury arising out of, or related to participation in the Program, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

 

You agree that this Release and Waiver extends to all acts and omissions by the Company, and is intended to be as broad as permitted by the laws of any applicable jurisdictions. If any portion of this document is found to be invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.

 

As a condition to participation in the Program, you acknowledge and voluntarily agree that you have read and fully understand these terms.

Identifying your level of functioning: Behavior, feelings and levels of self

By identifying your level of self and functional energy, you will be able to understand and accept your current position--and start to move out from a place of isolation/depression toward a re-imagined life. This section includes 2 videos and workbook.

Recognize your helpers: Dreams and visions

Through dreams we learn both what we have lived and what we will live.  You will see your current life drama re-played, but will learn how to become the actor, rather than the acted-upon in your life arena. This section includes video interactive activities, and workbook.

By understanding your physiological and spiritual self, you will be able to take ownership of your person-hood, and re-image your life. This section includes literature, video, interactive study of self, and workbook.
